Ceiling fan installation, replacement, and upgrades across San Angelo and the Concho Valley. Fan-rated boxes, proper bracing, dual switching, outdoor and high-ceiling installs. Done by a licensed electrician.

Fans That Stay Up.
Fans That Stay Quiet.

Ceiling fans are one of the most common DIY-fail jobs. The fan goes up, runs fine for a few months, and then starts wobbling, rattling, or dropping out of the ceiling because it was hung from a standard light box that wasn't rated for the load. In West Texas, where ceiling fans run six months out of the year, that's a lot of vibration on hardware that wasn't built for it.

We install ceiling fans the right way across San Angelo and the surrounding Concho Valley — fan-rated electrical boxes, proper structural bracing, balanced blades, and dual switching so the fan and light work independently. Indoor, outdoor, replacement, or new install where there's no existing wiring. Done to NEC code, tested before we leave. Need a light fixture instead? We do those too.

Six Reasons People Book
A Ceiling Fan Install.

From a quick replacement to a full new install with new wiring, this is the work we do most often.

01

Replacing An Old Fan

Wobbling, rattling, dying motor, or just outdated style — a clean swap gets the new fan up safely on the existing wiring and box.

02

Adding A Fan Where None Exists

No fixture in the bedroom or living room? We run wiring, install the fan-rated box, and add the right switching.

03

Upgrading From A Light To A Fan

Standard ceiling light needs to be replaced with a fan-rated box and proper bracing — not just bolted to drywall.

04

High & Vaulted Ceiling Installs

Tall ceilings need extension downrods and sloped adapters. We carry the right hardware and the right ladders.

05

Outdoor & Patio Fans

Damp-rated and wet-rated fans for covered porches, gazebos, and outdoor living spaces — wired to outdoor code.

06

Fan/Light Combo Switching

Separate fan-speed and light controls take dual switching or a remote setup. We make sure both work independently.

Lost Power? Burning Smell?

Don't wait. Electrical emergencies can become dangerous fast.

Ceiling Fan Questions.
Honest Answers.

What San Angelo homeowners ask before booking ceiling fan work.

Why can't I just hang a ceiling fan from a regular light box?+
Ceiling fans vibrate every minute they're running, and standard ceiling boxes aren't built to handle that load over time. Code requires fan-rated boxes (clearly marked "for ceiling fan support") that are mechanically braced to the structure. A regular light box might hold the fan for a while, but eventually the screws back out and the fan comes down — sometimes onto a bed, sometimes onto a person.
How much does ceiling fan installation cost?+
Cost depends on whether the fan is replacing an existing one (with proper wiring and a fan-rated box already in place) or being installed where there's no fixture currently, plus the ceiling height and any switch wiring upgrades needed. Every job gets a clear quote before any work starts.
Can you install a ceiling fan where there's no existing fixture?+
Yes. We run new wiring, install the fan-rated box with proper bracing, add the wall switch (or switches, for fan + light control), and tie it into the right circuit. This is more work than a swap but very common — especially in older homes that didn't have ceiling fixtures originally.
What about high ceilings or vaulted ceilings?+
High and vaulted ceilings need extension downrods and sometimes sloped ceiling adapters. We carry the right hardware and have the ladders/safety equipment to install fans safely on tall ceilings. If your fan is going on a ceiling over 10 feet, definitely worth having a pro do it.
Can you install outdoor or patio ceiling fans?+
Yes. Outdoor fans need to be UL-rated for damp or wet locations depending on whether the patio is covered or exposed. We confirm the right fan rating, wire to outdoor-rated boxes, and use weatherproof connections so the install holds up to the West Texas weather.
Do you install fan and light combos with separate switching?+
Yes. Most fan/light combos need either a dual switch (one for fan speed, one for the light) or a remote-control receiver. We can run new switch wiring for proper dual control, or install a remote setup if rewiring isn't practical. Either way, the fan and light should be controllable independently.
