Hot Tub Delivered.
Let's Get It Wired.

Licensed hot tub electrical hookup across San Angelo and the Concho Valley. Dedicated 240V circuits, GFCI breakers, weatherproof disconnects, and code-compliant bonding. Manufacturer-spec, permitted, and inspected.

Water And 240V.
Done The Right Way.

Hot tub wiring is one of those jobs where shortcuts have real consequences. You're combining 240 volts with several hundred gallons of water and people sitting in it. That's why NEC has strict rules about GFCI protection, disconnect distance, and equipotential bonding for hot tubs — and why this is one of the jobs that should never be DIY'd, even by a confident homeowner.

We wire hot tubs to manufacturer spec across San Angelo and the surrounding Concho Valley. Every install includes a properly-sized dedicated 240V circuit (typically 50 amps, but we follow the spec sheet), a GFCI breaker, a weatherproof disconnect within sight of the tub at the required 5-foot distance, and the bonding that ties everything together safely. Permitted, inspected, and built to keep your warranty valid.

If your existing panel can't support the new circuit, we can upgrade it as part of the same project.

Six Reasons People Book
Hot Tub Electrical Work.

From new tubs to replacements to outdoor saunas, this is the work we do most often.

01

New Hot Tub Just Delivered

Tub on the patio, manual in hand, ready for the electrician. We hardwire to spec, install the disconnect, and bond the equipment.

02

Building A Patio Or Deck

Pre-wiring during patio or deck construction is much cheaper than retrofitting. We coordinate with your contractor.

03

Replacing An Old Tub

New tub may have different amperage requirements than the old one. We assess the existing wiring and upgrade if needed.

04

Plug-and-Play 120V Tub

Smaller tubs run on a dedicated 20-amp 120V circuit with GFCI. Different scope than 240V — we wire either.

05

Outdoor Sauna Or Cold Plunge

Saunas and cold plunges have similar electrical needs to hot tubs — dedicated circuits, weatherproof boxes, GFCI, bonding.

06

Detached Spa Building

Hot tub in a separate building or pool house? We can run feeder, install a sub-panel, and wire the tub from there.

Lost Power? Burning Smell?

Don't wait. Electrical emergencies can become dangerous fast.

Hot Tub Wiring Questions.
Honest Answers.

What San Angelo homeowners ask before booking hot tub electrical work.

What kind of electrical does a hot tub need?+
Most residential hot tubs need a dedicated 240V circuit, typically 50 amps, with a GFCI breaker and a weatherproof disconnect within sight of the tub but at least 5 feet away. Some smaller plug-and-play tubs run on a regular 120V outlet, but most full-feature hot tubs are hardwired 240V. The exact requirements come from the manufacturer's spec sheet — we follow it so the install meets warranty requirements.
How much does it cost to wire a hot tub?+
Cost depends on the distance from your panel to the hot tub location, whether the run is through finished walls or open framing or trenched, and whether your panel has space for the new 50-amp breaker. Every install gets a clear quote before any work starts. Call to schedule a site walk.
Do I need a permit to wire a hot tub?+
Yes. Hot tub electrical installations require a permit and inspection in Tom Green County and surrounding jurisdictions — and they should, because hot tubs combine water and 240V power, which makes the bonding and GFCI requirements strict. We pull the permit, do the work to NEC and Texas electrical code, and coordinate the inspection. Permitted installs also keep your hot tub warranty valid and your insurance happy.
What's "bonding" and why does my hot tub need it?+
Bonding is a code requirement that ties together all the metal parts around the hot tub (frame, motor housings, water heater, nearby metal structures) with a heavy copper conductor connected to the same grounding system as the rest of your home. It prevents stray voltage from energizing one piece of metal versus another — which would shock anyone touching both. NEC requires it for any hot tub install. We do it right, every time.
Can I run a hot tub on my existing panel, or do I need an upgrade?+
Depends on your panel size and what else is on it. A 50-amp hot tub circuit is significant load. Older panels and fully-loaded panels often need an upgrade to add the new circuit safely. We do a load calc as part of the quote and tell you straight whether your existing panel handles it or if an upgrade makes sense.
How close to the hot tub does the disconnect need to be?+
Code requires the disconnect to be within sight of the hot tub but at least 5 feet away. The "within sight" part means anyone using the tub (or a service tech working on it) can see the disconnect from where they're standing — so it can be cut off in an emergency. The 5-foot rule keeps the disconnect from being splashed or accidentally bumped while the tub is in use.
